We arrived at Venice trainstation at 8:10. From there we took boatbus 5,1 to Piazza San Marco. Yes, a boatbus! During the ride we quickly realized that Venice is a city of boats with no car or bike in sight! 15 minutes later we arrived and started to drag our luggage over multiple channel bridges… Thankfully it wasn’t to far to our hostel.

We opened the door and were met by 54 steps up to the reception… And with my shoulder that meant that Robin had to drag everything up the stairs. After out check in we left our bags at the reception (our room wasn’t ready yet) and headed out to explore Venice!

Starting with lunch on a shaded bench in San Marco square, followed by random walking in the hope to find a camera shop (my camera bag strap broke..), after succes we had a pasta dinner with a water view and finished with a long walk by the water at sunset.
